Discord, X (Twitter) & EA Games

Posted on March 14, 2026 by cbain

These three corporations all banned or deleted accounts that I owned.

Discord

I created a separate discord for one of my characters in a video game. The account’s sole purpose for existing was connecting with upcoming communities and philanthropy. One day, after a break from using the account and playing the video game, I tried to login on my new laptop and was greeted with a message indicating that my account no longer exists. I reached out to discord asking why I can’t login anymore and they will not reply. My main discord account was unaffected. Other accounts I created for different characters in the same video game were also unaffected. Only the one I used for philanthropy (donating in-game currency to give new organizations in the game a leg-up) was affected.

X (Twitter)

I was never much of a twitter person. I remember browsing the site when it first came out but I wasn’t interested in hearing single sentences from celebrities, which is all it seemed to be back then. I never made my own twitter account. That is, until 2025. I created a twitter to document some of the things I was going through and tried to get some visibility on the issue. Unfortunately, they just proved everything I was saying by banning my account for “Inauthentic Behaviors”. They have ignored all support requests including requests to have my debit card removed because the user interface did not provide a way for me to get to a page where I could remove my card.

X users report wave of bans for “inauthentic behaviors” – This hasn’t been fixed for me. The company got $100 out of me by continuing to charge my card after my account was suspended. Today, I got a red message when I logged in allowing me to “fix my payment details” and was able to remove my card on that page. Keep in mind, this entire time, all of my posts were not visible to anyone other than myself.

EA Games

I don’t ever remember having an EA Games account. I may have created one a long time ago when I was a child, but I certainly haven’t logged into any EA account in at least the last 10 years. After I regained access to a separate e-mail I used to use, I noticed right away that I was banned permanently by EA. Today, I logged in and attempted to appeal the ban on the basis that I was not the one using the account.

Once another person gains access to your KeePass database, they can wreak havoc on your life in a seemingly irreparable way. Thankfully, I was able to regain access to all but 1 of my e-mails.

It seems my gaming life has been targeted particularly. EVE Online hasn’t banned my accounts, but they have changed the way that they treat me drastically. On day 1 when I started the game, I was messaged by a GM and offered a small amount of assistance for being a genuine new player. Recently, I’ve noticed data missing from my transactions history that is not being acknowledged by the company. I’ve also experienced issues in the game that were caused by the staff. They clearly do not want me playing the game anymore. Certain players have blocked me on Discord with no cause indicating that something happened that I haven’t been made aware of. I’ve always kept to myself and kept a low profile. It’s sad, but I’ll probably never find out exactly what happened on my accounts. E-mails in my GMail were also deleted regarding purchases I made in the game and support threads that I haven’t deleted myself.
