I should have known this was a scam when it first came out. CashApp is already on the list of businesses doing shady things to me for the past year and a half.
In October of 2023, I was offered CashApp Borrow. This was after I had lost my job.
I was getting help from family at the time, so it was convenient to be able to borrow the money and pay it off at a later date. I have consistently borrowed money from CashApp borrow and paid it off since Oct 13th 2023.
They increased my borrow amount from $100 to $900 over the course of a year or so. Then, a few months back they decreased it to $700 from $900.
When this happened, I got stuck in a cycle of having to borrow the money immediately to pay off the other CashApp borrow loans. I was still paying off all the loans on time and was able to continue using borrow.
Today, I had just enough money to keep it going for one more week. As soon as I paid $70~ today, I was greeted with this message:
So instead of letting me continue what I was doing, they are requesting all $660 at once. I haven’t had the capability to do this since I first wrote about the missing money.
They were consistently making money off of me every month. I will post a list of all the borrow amounts and dates and repayment status.
I can’t imagine how many people they have done this to and must have planned the bait and switch from the beginning.
